Dunc Gray Velodrome

The track races of the Sydney 2000 Olympics were held here. A huge curved metal roof covers the whole hall. Daylight comes in through a long window at the top of the roof. The pale pine track has a dark brown wooden apron. Dark blue seats climb up to yellow walls. The velodrome is named after Dunc Gray, who won Australia’s first Olympic gold medal in cycling.
